  Half- Week SUMMER CAMP 1: The Science of Summer!

  Get ready for a summer of fun and discovery at "The Science of Summer" camp! After a busy school year, it's time to recharge, enjoy the outdoors, and even help create an awesome outdoor play space with a scientific twist that we'll get to enjoy all summer long!

  Camp Theme: The Science of Summer

  Dates: June 23rd- 27th

  Time:  8am-4pm  (drop off is between 8-9am)

  Location: 112 Quality Ln, Rutland VT, 05701 

  Age Groups: K-3rd grade & 4th-6th grade

  Half-Week Rate: $175/ 1-3 days of camp

  Important: After you have registered, please email us at marissa@rutlandmint.org to let us know which days your child will be attending and what age group they fall into (K-3rd or 4th-6th). This will help us ensure that we have adequate staffing and materials each day.

  What to Pack:

  • Snacks and lunch for your child each day.
  • Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes for outdoor exploration and building.
  • Sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle to stay protected and hydrated.
  • Clothes that are okay to get a little dirty while engaging in outdoor science and building our play space!
  • Optional: A notebook and pencil for observations. 

  A Summer of Scientific Exploration and Fun: Each day will bring four exciting activities focused on unwinding, outdoor play with a scientific lens, and collaboratively building our very own outdoor play space with elements that demonstrate scientific principles! Imagine helping to create a balance beam that explores weight distribution, a climbing wall that demonstrates leverage, and other fun features that teach us about the world around us. Get ready for active games, nature-based science experiments, and the satisfaction of building something amazing and educational together!

  Adventure awaits at our "Survival Skills" camp! This week, we'll dive into the exciting world of outdoor preparedness, learning essential skills for exploring and thriving in nature. Get ready to unleash your inner adventurer as we tackle hands-on projects and learn valuable techniques.

  Camp Theme: Survival Skills

  Time: 8am-4pm (drop off between 8-9am)

  Age Groups: K-3rd grade & 4th-6th grade

  Half-Week Rate: $175 (1-3 days of camp, these are full days of camp, we are not currently offering a half day option)

Get ready for an action-packed week of learning and outdoor fun.

  SUMMER CAMP WEEK 3: Famous Inventors Week

  Kindergarten - 6th Grade

  Important Note: Due to running our Rosie's Girls program simultaneously during this week, we will not be offering a half-week camp option for Famous Inventors Week. The cost for this full week of camp is $350. Traditionally, our camp groups are separated into different rooms based on age. However, for this particular week, the two age groups (K-3rd and 4th-6th grade) will be together in one room. Projects will still be differentiated within the room to cater to the varying abilities of all participants.

  A Week of Inventive Exploration! Each day during Famous Inventors Week, we'll dive into the fascinating world of innovation by learning about 2-3 different famous inventors – both women and men – and the groundbreaking ideas they brought to life. Through engaging, hands-on activities, campers will create projects inspired by these inventions. Imagine building a simple machine like Da Vinci, experimenting with electricity like Edison, designing a communication device inspired by Bell, or even exploring the principles behind the first computer programs thanks to Ada Lovelace! We'll celebrate the diverse minds that have shaped our world, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity as we explore their impact. Our activities will be designed to engage all campers, with variations to suit the developmental levels of both our younger and older participants within the shared room.   Camp Theme: Rosies Girls

  Age Group: Open to girls* and gender-expansive youth entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the 2024-2025 school year

  Our staff creates a safe space for youth to step outside their comfort zones, make new friends, and build confidence in exploring their passions. If your youth has specific concerns please feel free to reach out to our Education Coordinator at marissa@rutlandmint.org.

  What to Expect:

  • Hands-on Learning: Rosie's Girls introduces youth to skills and career fields that are nontraditional for their gender through engaging, hands-on activities in STEAM and trades.
  • Career Exploration: Campers will explore various career paths and learn about the opportunities available in technical fields.
  • "Power Skills" Curriculum: In addition to technical learning, campers will learn from our social and emotional curriculum, "Power Skills," to help them navigate school, friendships, and societal issues.
  • Supportive and Empowering Environment: Our dedicated staff members foster a supportive and empowering environment where youth can feel comfortable trying new things and building confidence.

  Full-Week SUMMER CAMP 5: Meet the MINT: Makers in Training!

  4th-6th Grade

  Camp Theme: Meet the MINT: Makers in Training!

  Dates: August 18th-22nd

  Time: 8am-4pm (drop off between 8-9am)

  Location: 112 Quality Ln, Rutland VT, 05701

  Age Groups: 4th-6th grade

  Half-Week Rate: $350/ 5 days of camp

  What to Pack:

  • Snacks and lunch for your child each day.
  • Comfortable, durable clothing suitable for outdoor activities.
  • Closed-toe shoes with good traction.
  • A water bottle to stay hydrated.
  • Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection.
  • Books, sensory items, etc. for alternative break time options.

  A Week of Collaborative STEAM Fun: Each day will be filled with four exciting STEAM challenges designed to spark curiosity and encourage collaboration. We'll work together on a variety of hands-on activities that might involve building towers, designing contraptions, solving puzzles, and creating art with a scientific twist. The focus is on the "we did it!" feeling as we learn and succeed together, and some individual challenges. Get ready for a week of laughter, innovation, and the satisfaction of tackling challenges as a team! Prepare for an empowering and exciting week of learning valuable life skills!
