Pet portrait mosaics - 3 session workshop!

Come and create a mosaic representation of your favorite pet!  Dogs, cats, horses, lizards, chickens.....all are appropriate.  Project will create a 8 x 10 portrait suitable for framing or simple display.

In this class, participants will learn:

  • how to transfer an image to a substrate.
  • how to prepare an appropriate substrate
  • how to cut glass and other tesserae to create an image
  • basic principles of classical mosaics
  • how to grout and finish the project

PLEASE BRING a photocopied image on 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

Sessions: Wednesday evenings February 7, 14, and 21 from 5:00 to 8:00

Fees:

  • $180 for members
  • $225 for not-yet members*

Fee includes all materials.

*Not-yet Members may take this or any other class at The MINT. Become a Member to gain independent access to our shops outside of class time.
