During this three session class, we will take a deep look at the traditional Japanese firing process known as Raku. This this unpredictable and intense process will definitely leave you wanting more!
All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
The first sessions we will construct an animal using hand-built methods.
On firing day, we will all convene and experience the exhilarating and primal nature of Raku fire, revealing a truly unique beauty.
This is a three-session class:
Saturday, June 17, 9am - 12pm, Creation day!
Friday evening, June 23, 5 - 6pm Glaze and prep for the firing
Saturday, June 24, 1pm: the Firing!
Cost: adult $100, youth $75, addition youth $25
