Introduction to Hand Carving Spoons
Give a little whittle!
Join us as we explore the craft of spoon carving.
With a focus on knife skills, technique, and hand/body awareness, participants will be supported through the comfort of working with very sharp tools.
No experience carving is necessary. The potential for getting cut is high. Cut-resistant gloves are not required, but may help with comfort. Basic hand-eye coordination is good, as well as hand strength (can you open that new jar of peanut butter?)
Class is limited to 8 people to make sure there’s plenty of individual guidance and instruction.
This is a single-session class on Saturday, February 18, 9a-12p
Fee: $50 members, $70 non-members
Instructor: Rick
